Why Crateful

A box your customer composes — not one you guessed at

Fixed bundles make the customer take what you chose. A crate lets them choose, which is why they add more.

They fill it themselves

A real configurator on your storefront: a crate that fills as they pick, with a slot for every item they still need.

The price moves as they build

A live running total with the original struck through, so the saving is obvious before they ever reach the cart.

“Add 1 more to unlock”

The crate always says exactly what is still needed. That one line is the reason a 5-item cart becomes a 6-item order.

The discount actually holds

It is applied at checkout only when a complete crate is genuinely in the order — and comes straight back off if they remove an item.

Mixed prices, exact maths

“Any 6 for $50” works even when your products cost different amounts. The exact discount is worked out per order, server-side.

It looks like your store

Colours, corners and copy are yours. Crateful adds one block and never moves, restyles or covers anything in your theme.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself

1

Pick the pool

Choose the products a shopper may put in the crate. Six to twenty works best — things that go together.

2

Set the rule

Any 6 for 20% off. Any 6 for $50. Or 3 → 10%, 6 → 15%, 12 → 25%. Watch the live preview price itself as you type.

3

Turn it on

The crate appears on your storefront. Shoppers fill it, add it in one click, and the discount is enforced at checkout.

On your storefront

The crate does the selling

Every element exists to answer one question a shopper has: “what do I still need?”

  • Empty slots that fill with the products they picked
  • A running price, updated on every tap
  • Steppers for “two of the lavender, please”
  • Inline, popup, floating button or top bar

What a crate looks like in your store

Three ways stores use Crateful. Every one takes about a minute to set up.

🕯️
The candle shop
Pick any 6 · 20% off

Fourteen scents in the pool, six slots in the crate. Shoppers who came for one candle leave with a six-pack, because the crate keeps telling them how close they are.

🎁
The gift shop
Any 6 for $50

A flat, giftable price on a mixed pool — soaps at $8 sit beside candles at $14, and Crateful works out the exact discount for whichever six they choose.

A clean, memorable offer
The coffee roaster
3 → 10%, 6 → 15%, 12 → 25%

A ladder that rewards stocking up. The meter shows the next tier the whole time they’re browsing, so “one more bag” has an actual reason behind it.

Questions

Everything you’re probably wondering

How is this different from a bundle app?
A bundle is a set you choose for the customer — the same products, every time. A crate is composed by the customer: you supply a pool and a rule, and they decide what actually goes in the box. That is the whole point, and it is why crates suit stores whose customers have a favourite scent, roast or flavour.
Do I have to edit my theme?
No. Crateful adds its own block to your storefront and never moves, restyles or covers anything your theme already renders. If Crateful ever fails to load, your store looks and behaves exactly as it does without it.
Can a shopper game the discount?
No. The discount is worked out on the server, from your real order, at checkout — nothing a browser sends can change it. And no discount code is ever published in the page, so there is nothing to copy out and reuse later.
What if they remove an item at checkout?
The crate discount comes straight back off. Crateful re-checks the order continuously, so a crate that is no longer complete is no longer discounted.
Does “any 6 for $50” work if my products are different prices?
Yes. The exact percentage needed to land on your crate price is computed for each shopper’s particular six, per order. Rounding always goes in the shopper’s favour, so a crate never costs more than the price you advertised.
What happens if someone adds more than a full crate?
You choose. By default only whole crates are discounted, so you never give away more than you advertised — a crate plus one loose extra pays full price. You can switch it to discount the extras too, and the app tells you plainly what that costs you.
Where does the crate show up?
Wherever you want: inline on a page, as a popup, behind a floating button, or in a top bar — and on the pages you choose. There is also a smart default that picks a sensible spot for you.
Is the revenue on the dashboard real?
Yes, and only real. A crate order is counted after it has been read back from your store and confirmed to exist, so abandoned checkouts never inflate it. A store with no activity shows zeros, not estimates.
